Caterina joined Green Alliance in August 2016 as a policy analyst and is now head of climate policy, leading Green Alliance’s work on the Low Carbon Future theme. In this role, Caterina has worked to ensure that policy on the environment increases the competitiveness of businesses in the UK, focusing particularly on low carbon and resource efficient growth in the manufacturing and construction sectors, the role of digital technologies in the transition towards a net zero emissions economy and policy for low carbon innovation.
Prior to Green Alliance, she worked as a researcher at the Institute for Social-Ecological Research in Frankfurt, focusing on the development of precautionary measures to tackle pharmaceutical residues in the aquatic environment.
Caterina holds an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London, a PhD in Biochemistry from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich and an MChem in Chemistry from the University of Oxford.
