Marta has worked with Green Alliance since 2001. She is in charge of Green Alliance’s finances including payroll and VAT, and supports the head of resources in preparing the management accounts.
Marta has been involved with the voluntary sector since she moved to the UK from Colombia in 1985. She started off as treasurer to a housing cooperative, and went on to work for an auditing firm specialising in charities and housing co-operatives. She has since worked for several charities, including the Latin American Women’s Rights Service and Demos.
Marta has degrees in Computer Programming and in Systems Engineering. Since moving to England she has taken several courses in accountancy.
