Driving renewable heat

Heat is now acknowledged to account for 47 per cent of the UK’s carbon dioxide emissions. To support the take up of renewable heat, the government is introducing financial support, the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) in April 2011. A consultation on the RHI is due out in the New Year. On the 3rd December, The Associate Parliamentary Renewable and Sustainable Energy Group (PRASEG) and Green Alliance held a seminar in the Houses of Parliament to discuss the forthcoming RHI and barriers to the uptake of renewable heat.
