Overview

The government is considering whether to roll back the system of EV sales targets for carmakers – known as the ZEV mandate – the biggest single policy mechanism it has for delivering against near term climate targets.

As government consults on possible changes, join Green Alliance for a webinar unpacking how we got here, and what is at stake for drivers, the car industry and climate.

This webinar will spotlight the narratives building around the mandate as the government comes under mounting pressure to weaken it, despite the impact this will have on motoring costs.

Our expert panel will explore what’s really driving the difficulties some UK car manufacturers are facing and whether weakening the mandate is the right answer, allowing plenty of time for audience Q&A.
