England’s Landscape Recovery scheme offers a step change in nature recovery through large scale, long term and genuinely transformative habitat restoration. While 56 projects across England have the potential to boost biodiversity, reduce flooding and combat climate change, only three have moved from planning to delivery.

With £37 million invested in project development, this briefing sets out what Defra must do to get the scheme moving and scale Landscape Recovery for the benefit of farmers and communities nationwide.
