Sam joined Green Alliance as a senior political adviser in December 2025, leading on political engagement work related to the natural environment including land use, food and farming. Previously, he was the global political lead for Greenpeace’s work on the UN plastic pollution treaty, managing an international delegation of 15 at five rounds of intergovernmental negotiations. He has also led national campaigns on river pollution, transport decarbonisation and a just transition for oil and gas workers. Sam is a musician and a lover of spicy food.
