Summary

Green Alliance and The Nature Conservancy are delighted to come together for this online event which will reflect on the outcomes of COP27, what they mean for climate action in the UK and internationally, and how we can build bridges towards the CBD COP15 in December.

Representatives from TNC, Green Alliance, and other civil society organisations will be joined by representatives from Defra, FCDO and other Whitehall departments to share their thoughts on the achievements of COP27 and what implications they have for climate action in the UK and globally.

We’ll then open the floor for a digital dialogue to further reflect on the Conference and discuss how government-civil society cooperation can contribute to implementing the COP27 outcomes.

This is an opportunity to ask questions, propose solutions, and discuss next steps to put commitments into action. We will also look ahead to the next COP – CBD COP15 in Montreal – and discuss the place of nature and biodiversity in achieving our climate goals.

The event is open to all Whitehall staff and members of civil society organisations working to tackle climate change and biodiversity loss.
