Summary

Join us to kick off the new year with a lively, informative conversation looking at the major developments set to shape environmental policy in 2026.

We’ll explore the potential political implications of the May elections. And, with its June deadline, the expectations and pressures surrounding the government’s seventh carbon budget decision which will set the UK’s climate action trajectory into the late 2030s and early 2040s.

We’ll also dive into what the Land Use Framework and Farming Roadmap could mean for nature, food systems and communities; the government’s ambitions on energy, including the upcoming Energy Independence Bill; and how the new Circular Economy Growth Plan might shift the conversation on waste, resources and consumption.

Our panel of experts will discuss all this and more, allowing plenty of time for an audience Q&A.
