Nicholas is head of climate policy. He joined Green Alliance in 2024 after a twenty-year career in sustainability focused roles; spanning campaigning, communications, analysis and consulting. From being part of the NGO team that coordinated the ‘The Big Ask’ campaign that secured the Climate Change Act 2008 to working as an official in the House of Commons supporting cross party MPs in their scrutiny of climate, energy and environment policy. As a policy specialist for Parliament’s cross-party green watchdog, he managed influential inquiries on sustainable fashion, water quality in rivers, and accelerating the transition from fossil fuels. In 2023, his work was recognised in the ENDs report Power List, celebrating the 100 environmental professionals making the most impact in the UK. He holds a BA in Politics and History from Queen Mary University and an MSc in Media and Communications from the London School of Economics.
