• Securing environmental protections: we prevented the loss of important environmental protections, including water quality and habitat safeguards. 

• Success on consumer bills and public health: alongside allies in other organisations, we prevented a new hydrogen charge being levied on consumer energy bills, and we worked with health organisations to push for a government ban on single use vapes. 

• Raising party ambitions: in election year, our programme for government, Securing our future, influenced the inclusion of important environmental commitments in the Labour, Liberal Democrat and Green Party manifestos. 

• Promoting climate adaptation: our Adaptation Task Force, launched this year, is bringing together businesses and organisations to provide new impetus on advancing climate change adaptation strategies.
