Summary
Since the 2024, the Labour party has lost voters, left and right, putting their standing at the next general election in question. As Andy Burnham takes the helm of the party, there is good news: his government will inherit something rare in British politics – near universal public support on a particular policy.
In this story, we make the case for the release of the government’s long delayed Circular Economy Growth Plan, which was drafted under the outgoing administration. We feature our recent polling on circular economy policy, video testimonies from the people working and benefiting from the circular economy and a timeline of the government’s promises to realise the many benefits of the circular economy.
Releasing the plan could help unify Labour’s fragmenting voter base and drive growth across the UK from north to south. Andy Burnham shouldn’t wait any longer to deliver what voters want to see.
