Green Alliance hosted a summer reception where the Rt Hon Michael Gove MP gave one of his last speeches as Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. We also heard introductory speeches from chair of the Environmental Audit Committee, Mary Creagh MP, Green Alliance chair Fiona Reynolds and executive director Shaun Spiers.

The event launched a new Green Alliance policy insight, Power to the people: shaping UK climate policy through deliberative democracy, which describes the outcome of our work with Britain Thinks on two pilot citizens’ juries exploring the public mandate for climate action.
