Event details

In this event the shadow chancellor Anneliese Dodds MP spoke on Labour’s vision and strategy for the UK’s green economic recovery.

With the Environment Bill on hold, a long way to go yet on UK’s domestic climate pledges for the COP26 UN climate summit next year, and a long list of consultations and strategies waiting to be published, the opposition has a vital role to play in championing environmental ambition and holding the government to account.

We also heard from the economist Dimitri Zenghelis of the University of Cambridge on what’s needed for a green recovery and future prosperity for the UK.
