Chanakya joined Green Alliance in April 2024 as a policy Analyst and works on carbon capture and storage (CCS) and zero emission aviation in the Low Carbon Future theme. Prior to this, Chanakya worked for eight years in India, where he founded the NGO TribeAisle, which at its peak supported 43 families of tribal artisans in central India. He also worked for the Finance Committee of the Indian Parliament and managed election campaigns for both parliamentary and state assembly elections.
In the UK, he has worked for the Commonwealth Secretariat and the World Bank. Chanakya enjoys creative pursuits; as a painter, he has held four solo exhibitions in New Delhi and London. As a curator, he has organised exhibitions in New York, Helsinki, Raipur and New Delhi for his NGO TribeAisle. He also supports rural education in India and serves as a director (at large) of NEDA in India.
