Lamé Verre
Lamé Verre is an award-winning energy executive and co-founder of Lean In Equity & Sustainability (LiNES), an independent global gender diversity and inclusion social impact organisation.
She holds pivotal roles in the World Economic Forum, the Global Future Council for Energy Transition, and the Board of Equitable Origin (EO). She has over two and a half decades of experience in the energy sector. As head of strategy, innovation, and sustainability for SSE plc in the UK and Ireland, she was instrumental in operationalising net zero strategy; she was director for renewable energy and energy transition at the consultancy Alaric & Associates and co-founded ScanTech International, providing solutions to the energy industry.
In 2021, she launched the African Female Leaders Power list, featuring 50 of Pan-Africa’s most inspirational female energy executives in partnership with AOW Investing in Africa and Investing in African Mining Indaba.
