This explanation of the science of climate change has been produced under the Climate Leadership Programme by Green Alliance, in partnership with the Grantham Institute at Imperial College London.

It is based on information compiled in a more extended form by the Royal Society, the Committee on Climate Change and the Met Office. It is not intended as a comprehensive guide, but as an aid to communicating the issue. All scientific evidence is referenced and sources of further information are given.
