Event details
This task force brings together businesses and innovation organisations to show where policy can accelerate use of the smart technology that can cut carbon emissions and make industry more resource efficient. In particular, it will identify ways the government could encourage faster uptake of digital technologies by firms outside the south east to increase their productivity and help rebalance the UK economy.
The keynote address was given by Claire Perry MP, minister of state for energy and clean growth. The minister was joined by a panel of leading innovators who each gave brief insights from their perspective on the role of policy in unlocking investment in smart green tech and positioning the UK as a hub for eco-innovation.
