Event details

How will the UK’s future relationship with the EU influence future trade policy? How can we ensure trade deals that don’t undermine environmental standards? What is needed for a green and global Britain?

The issue of trade is growing in the national consciousness. As the UK develops its new approach to international trade, this event was an opportunity to hear Labour’s position as well as to explore the opportunities and risks for our environment.

Barry Gardiner MP, shadow secretary of state for international trade, delivered a keynote speech followed by a panel of experts who explored the UK’s position. They offered insight into the policy challenges and opportunities that would influence the UK’s ability to forge its way in the world outside the European Union.
